The Planning and Zoning Committee of Flower Mound is proposing the building of Cross Timbers Business Park: ZPD21-0014,  that would be directly adjacent to Canyon Falls Community and across from the Trailwood Community. This petition will send a message to Flower Mound that We, the people of both communities oppose this project and say NO to industrial warehouses being built by our homes, families and schools.

The project is proposed with 8 buildings totaling 4 million square feet of distribution with end cap offices. Semi traffic puts an estimated 2-4000 trucks per day, which is double with the semi exiting. This project will be seen throughout Canyon falls as it runs along the front entrance to back up behind the new Argyle High School. Trail Wood would be facing the industrial warehouses directly.

The following arguments were brought up at the P and Z Meeting on 11/8/21:

Noise pollution

Light pollution

Exhaust pollution ( can cause respiratory illnesses), harmful to animals and humans

Damage to 1171 roads

Traffic issues especially with train problems, narrow Hwy 377 and proximity to I 35.

resale value of our homes

Increased Crime

Warehouse right behind the high school. Safety of our children!
