Permanent Memorial for Glen McNeil Jr at Jacksonville Beach

This petition had 3,406 supporters

The late night of July 4th 2017, Glen McNeil Jr was murdered at Jacksonville Beach due to a senseless act of violence. Over the days people from all walks of life that Glen impacted have come to create a beautiful arrangement of flowers, photos, signs and more. We are aware that in the weeks to come the city will remove these things for festivals and other functions. Glen is loved, he will not be forgotten. We are asking the City of Jacksonville Beach to please allow a memorial plaque in loving memory of a young man who shared love and laughter to so many of us through out the years. There should be a reminder to others to think before they act, to realize how valuable life is, and for all of us who want more then just a news article for a person who was remarkable. Let us leave a true mark for Glen McNeil Jr.

If there is a decision to allow a permit for a plaque on the memorial site all costs will be paid for by the community. Please reach out to us, hear us, we are your youth, we want the violence to stop, we are tired of burying our friends.
