In my hometown firefighters are not treated fairly in pay. They are in the 10th percentile of my state with their income with one of the lowest incomes in the state. This is very absurd for the people who risk their lives for yours. They also don't just fight fires they are EMT's. These calls can go on forever and will leave these people with sleep deprivation. This should at least give them a good income to feed their families and keep a roof over their heads. Most firefighters have to work second jobs because of this major loss in income which is unfair for our local heroes who do alot for their community and each other. When these heroes are together they are a family and they are not paid enough to watch their family suffer.
