Mayor Bowman & Winnipeg City Council: Save the West Kildonan Public Library!

The City of Winnipeg is proposing to close the West Kildonan Library. This popular community hub serves Winnipeg's West Kildonan neighbourhood, as well as the wider northwest suburban neighbourhoods of Garden City, Riverbend, Amber Trails and Aurora.

It is a pillar of our communities and provides valuable services to families, young professionals and seniors throughout the neighbourhoods. The library building is also an architectural jewel, opened in 1967 as a gift to our community in celebration of Canada's 100th birthday.

City council cannot balance the budget by slashing the very core services they are responsible for providing. There are many other ways to balance the budget without shuttering important local services for our community. We must band together to save the West Kildonan Library! The Westwood and Fort Garry branches also being targeted for closure.

Ensure your voice is heard! Also email the Mayor's Office and City Council to let them know they can't balance the budget by cutting vital community services. Together we can save the West Kildonan Library!
