Aicha Madi started this petition to Mayor Brandon Capetillo and

Pamela Turner was 44 years old when she was murdered by the Baytown Police Department. Pamela was walking home at around 10:40pm on the 13th of May 2019 when she was stopped by officer Juan Delacruz.

Delacruz had recognised Pamela and stopped to arrest her on an open warrant for a misdemeanour. The officer was aware that Pamela was schizophrenic as he had a prior encounter with her and still didn’t follow protocol. When he was trying to arrest her a struggle ensued which resulted in Delacruz tasing her. The Baytown P.D alleged that Pamela used the taser on the officer after he used it on her. This is how they’re excusing a member of their police department standing over a woman pleading for her life before firing at her five times.

It’s been over a year since her murder and justice is yet to be served.

The statement police made about Pamela using the taser on the officer makes no sense because the taser used was a manual model meaning once deployed it needs to be reloaded. So when you take these points into account and the incident itself it’s highly unlikely that Pamela would have had enough time to grab the taser, reload it and then fire it at him with out him being able to interfere in time to stop it.
