Dear Mayor Sampayan, Vice Mayor McConnell, Councilmembers Dew-Costa, Malpago, Miessner, Sunga and Verder-Aliga,
We are parents and friends of students at Caliber: ChangeMakers Academy. We are very proud to be part of a new public school that in its first year outperformed the District on the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) two to one in math and three to one in English.

We were shocked and upset to learn that the City of Vallejo has asked for over one million dollars ($1 million!) in fees and improvements from Caliber. These fees and improvements are TWICE the rate for other California communities, and far more than would be expected from a
We ask that the Council review these fees formally at the next City Council meeting and move to REDUCE the total fees and improvements. We will be coming to Council meetings to tell you how we feel in public comment.
Thank you for listening to constituents and parents of Vallejo public school children.
