Alice and her resturaunt are a legacy for the city of Waukee, Iowa. Mayor Bill Peard is wanting to change the name of the road to better fit the new construction that is going up in that area. Tell Mayor Bill Peard that Waukee is proud of it's history and to leave the name of Alice's Road alone!
*Alice was an Italian immigrant that lived on a gravel road just northeast of Waukee town center. Her husband worked in the Schuler Mines and was killed there when the mine colapsed. She and her sister Anita opened Alice's Spaghettiland in 1947 and worked there everyday until her death in 1997. People would drive from hours away to have Alice's famous rolls and salad. *
