With all the construction going on in Seward Park housing grounds, parking has become increasingly scarce. Coming home at night to find NYPD School Safety wagons and cars taking up parking is ridiculous. Employees will park their personal cars in spaces to then come after work and switch out for the school safety vehicles. This leaves residents like myself, sitting outside for hours waiting for an available parking space. There needs to a specific parking place for school safety and there’s vacant areas underneath the bridge that can be designated for this. No one wants to sit outside for hours waiting on parking to finally see car lights come on and then get blindsided because, a school safety employee is coming to swap out vehicles. The same thing happens with the City Bike vans and it is very frustrating to say the least. I am asking the question I’m sure majority of the residents in the neighborhood wants to ask and that is; can these vehicles be assigned to their own parking lots so that residents do not have to stay out for hours waiting on parking. Residents of Seward Park Housing, whether you are one of those  are sitting up waiting on parking every night or knows someone who is, please sign this petition to initiate some much needed change in the community!!!
