The pandemic is hard enough without a social life, meeting in person with your teachers and friends, and extracurricular activities, so why take away one of the last pieces of pure joy - snow days!

Snow days have been enjoyed by generations.  It is a right of childhood.  It's a time where we can forget all of our troubles and play in the snow.  Think about all of the snow days you have had.  What was your favorite part: Was it the break from school? The snow angels? The snowmen? The snowball fights? Or perhaps was it the warm feeling you get when you step inside for a cup of hot cocoa?  No matter who you are or where you are, we can all agree that a snow day is something to get excited about.

Now I understand that we are behind, but is one or two days off going to make too big of a difference?  I think not.  If anything, it is going to improve our work and our motivation. It provides a break in the monotony, many kids skip the day anyway, and it's hard to concentrate when all you want to do is run and play outside.  This is a great opportunity to spend time outside and get in that physical activity you keep telling us is so important.

Remote learning isn't easy.  We need a break to recharge, and a snow day is a perfect opportunity.
