The “Key to NYC” pass was quickly introduced, and mandated on August 17. The “Key to NYC”  which states that people 12 and older are required to show proof they have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine authorized for emergency use by the FDA or WHO for:

- Indoor dining

- Indoor fitness

-Indoor entertainment

This new requirement — called the Key to NYC — also means staff at these locations must be vaccinated.

This mandate excludes children under 12, any person who can not be vaccinated due to a disability or for religious reasons from full access to amenities in New York.

This mandate is a violation of our rights and freedom, and we must take action so that this can not be enforced today or in the future. 

I demand that for the health and safety of all NYC residents proof of negative COVID Test results replace proof of vaccination because those who have the vaccine can still receive and pass the virus on to others. Proof of vaccination should not be held precedent over a negative PCR test, and this mandate needs to be repealed.

The vaccine should be a choice for all American citizens and the Key to NYC pass excludes a large population of Americans that can not take the vaccine for medical, religious, health or personal reasons. 

Our first amendment states, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

How many of our rights are we willing to give away and what happened to America the land of the free? If we want to protect our freedom we must stand against the “Key to NYC” pass and give Americans the right to choose what is best for their health and
