Kimberly Rosario started this petition to Mayor of New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and

This petition is to support high school seniors of 2020. Due to the coronavirus situation seniors have been denied of enjoying their year just like any other senior does. They had been committed to finish their classes in the mode of remote learning and also stay at home for a very long period of time. The purpose of this petition is to let the students have their big moment of attending their graduation ceremony in a very unique way. Our goal is to send a message to the major of New York City (Bill de Blasio) and the Chancellor of the New York City Department of Education (Richard Carranza) to let the students held their graduation ceremonies in amplified spaces such as nearby parks or spacious auditoriums where social distance and all the norms can also be applied just like wearing mask. If we win this petition our students around New York City will have the opportunity to see the light in this very dark moments and to enjoy their last moment with their teachers and peers. Let’s make this happen for them, for your son/ daughter, your cousin, your niece, your nephew, your neighbor, your friend and any senior that you know that is going through this situation. Do not let this enjoyable and special moment just go like that. Support the Class of 2020 to have a decent graduation ceremony.
