According to the statistics recently mentioned in the news by President Trump and his team, the US is expected to lose close to 100,000 to 200,000 lives due to the Covid-19 Virus. NYC is the epicenter. Employees at Storages in  New York City and else where in the world are subjected to cleaning units, doors, facility inside and out and we also have to endure some exposure to customers while wearing gloves and masks. We are running low on masks and I refuse to help anyone when my masks run out.  I would also advocate for other facilities with low supplies too. The peak of the virus is heading our way by the end of April and feel safeguard self storage and other storages should be closed for a month or if more time is needed to avoid employees getting sick and our families. We ask for help from the government to implement this for us because storage companies don’t want to themselves; without employees to run a business there is really no business. I wish some companies would realize how essential an employee is to a business and help them and their families during this pandemic and help prevent them from getting this potential deadly virus. All we ask is to be closed to protect our lives and our families until it’s safe to go back to work; atleast until the peak of the virus is gone. The government is allowing these businesses to operate essential at the risk of employees getting sick because customers need to come get something out their unit. How is this essential? I would understand if we were storing medical equipment, medical drugs or saving a life. Saving lives is essential.
