Let’s face it, no one wants their car impounded.  No one wants to have to figure out a way to get to the towing pound because your car isn’t in your possession anymore.

But the thing is, no one also wants to walk into a business, and get treated like crap by the employees while already feeling terrible about your car/motorcycle being towed.

At the NYPD Towing Pound in College Point, you will experience the WORST customer service you will ever encounter in your life.  I, myself, nearly encountered an anxiety attack due to the way I was treated at this location.  This staff literally poisons the air with their disgusting attitude.  Normally, I’d carry on about my day after experiencing terrible customer service, but after having to deal with the employees at this towing pound, I still haven’t been able to get over how terrible I was treated.  Can’t get it out of my head, and it’s still bothering me and makes me want to cry all over again because I just can’t believe how people can be so rude and get away with it.  I went and searched online for reviews, and just as I expected, it was nothing but the same types of reviews.

Realistically speaking, we ALL know that the city prides our errors when it comes to driving.  The parking tickets, the moving tickets, the towing fees, hydrant fees, etc.  we all know the city benefits from all of this.   The ones who are left unhappy, are the NYC residents.  The least we can get is decent customer service while dealing with the city.

The customer service was so bad, I called the cops.  Yes.  I called the NYPD on NYPD Traffic.  They sympathized with me, although they couldn’t do anything.  The rudest person behind the counter (the supervisor) who I called the cops on ran and hid in the back room, and when the cops arrived, the ladies behind the counter told the cops that he left.  And when the cops left, the Supervisor came back out.  Only someone who knows they’re doing wrong will go and hide.

A lot of us feel as if the employees here feel they’re untouchable because not only do they work for the city, but because they’re NYPD.  Well NYC residents do not appreciate the disrespect, and a lot of us want that entire staffed either removed, or retrained.  I am unemployed due to COVID, and would be HAPPY to replace a rude staff with a respecting staff that values customer service.
