NYC schools are choosing to remain open during a global pandemic of the Corona Virus. 

Students, teachers and staff are being placed at risk of getting highly contagious disease. 
The containment of this virus and the safety of our children should be the NUMBER ONE priority of the City of New York. Not whether or not closing the schools will shut the city down.  

Public School children and teachers should not be tasked with keeping the city running at the expense of their health safety and the health and safety of their families at home. Exposing our kids to this disease also exposes and puts at risk countless individuals at home and in extended families. Many of those who are at elderly and have other underlying medical conditions that make the disease deadly to them.

New York City Public Schools should be closed for the safety of the entire City
