VIOLENCE PETITION FROM JOY-ANYA LOVE - 6TH GRADE PBL 

Hello! Did you know that Violence causes more than 1.6 million deaths worldwide every year? I know because I lost a great uncle to violence - murder. 

What is Violence you ask? Violence is the use of physical force so as to injure, damage, or destroy. Violence can be intense,turbulent or furious and often a destructive action or force. And did you know that for every person who dies as a result of violence, many more are injured or suffer from a range pf physical, sexual, reproductive and mental health problems. Violence may be distinguished from aggression, on a more general type of hostile behavior that may be physical, verbal, or passive in nature.

Violence impacts the world in many ways. Violence even made it into schools. Over 228,000 students have been exposed to gun Violence during school hours since 1999. Therefore, stores are NOW selling bullet proof backpacks and schools are renovating their property using over 1 million dollars to make sure their kids are safe!

Today we learned about Violence, the horrible effects of violence and much more. Violence needs to stop, Now! If I want violence to stop I need to find a way to make it stop. I NEED YOUR HELP!
