Tobacco companies are at it again. They are scheming to hook another generation, selling cigarettes, little cigars and tobacco-related products in flavors like gummy bear, banana smash and “smooth menthol.”
Right now, there are over 15,000 e-cigarette and cigar flavors alone. 81% of youth who have used tobacco started with a flavored product, and 95% of Black youth report smoking menthol-flavored cigarettes. Tobacco companies have historically targeted Blacks with aggressive marketing of mentholated tobacco products.
We are asking our leaders how we can keep our kids safe from an industry determined to do them harm.
