People of color should not have to be reminded of past atrocities committed by racist criminals in public spaces. As a part of the healing process for everyone, this monument honoring a known oppressor must go. 

The goal is not to erase history, but to put the history in proper context. No longer will Pueblo hide behind the genocide and celebrate the guilty.
