When are corporate developers going to stop killing off our wildlife. When there is nothing left I hope they're happy eating their money, cos there'll be nothing left but pollution and no fauna and flora

I own a property in Bargara. We purchased because of the laid back lifestyle. This project dies not fit with the amenity of existing structures. Why would a developer commit to such an investment with no public consultation or approvals being sought. This development smells of collusion between the developer and council.

The council claim to care for the turtles and their nesting grounds. To create a development that puts those turtles ability to nest at risk is counterproductive to the continued benefits the turtles bring to our region.

I extremely disappointed that this has even become an issue! I hope the council isn’t selling its soul to the devil! The council must honour its commitment to the welfare of the turtles and our tourist industry!

Because I don't want the turtles deterred from nesting along the foreshore. They need greater protection.

When a developer decides to not even address most of the concerns raised by the Bundaberg Regional Council Planning Department’s professional review of this development’s ‘code assessable’ application and leaves it to our individual councillors to decide on passing this non conforming application, it has to raise alarm bells!
Surely our councillors won’t vote in favour of this development which would be effectively voting against their own Planning Department advices and not in the best interests of the endangered loggerhead turtles.
