Stop trying to expel students for reasons that don't demand it

Mayfield Secondary School is in pretty high demand among students in Peel, with hundreds of them trying to get in, but does this really warrant trying to kick out existing students in Mayfield an attempt to make room for new ones? When you think about it, it's really unfair to those who already got in, to all of a sudden get expelled for missing one too many day or simply failing a class, it entirely defeats the purpose of an education and essentially just turns it into something akin to The Hunger Games or George Orwell's 1984, school shouldn't be a strict, authoritarian environment, it's meant to help students be successful rather than bring them down.
I started this petition because I'm being threatened with expulsion just for having issues with attendance with attendance related to anxiety (something that's beyond my control), not just that but the school is also expelling one of my friends at the end of the year because they failed some of their classes.
Expulsion is meant to be a last resort, not something that's just casually thrown around and handed out to students whenever they don't do good enough. Mayfield Secondary School needs to put more focus on their students, rather than prioritize those who don't even go there.
