The Problem

  • The former Carawatha Primary School parkland which is 25,000 square meters is under consideration for development.
  • We need parklands and open space for children to play, for exercise, walking the dog and for birds and wildlife to live and to help combat the effects of climate change.
  • Once parklands are gone they are gone forever.
  • Around 100 bird and wildlife homes are to be chopped down.
  • There are Black Cockatoos living on this site so their home will be destroyed.

The Solution

  • Convert the former Carawatha Primary School parkland into a nice public park with a large sports oval, larger childrens playground area, a pond, skate park, and other facilities for our community to enjoy into the future.
  • Perhaps even allow for a cafe and make this parkland into an amazing community asset for everyone to enjoy.
