My wife, Serra, suffered a ruptured aneurysm in April, 2011, resulting in severe mental and physical incapacitation. To restore her to the utmost quality of life, it is widely accepted, among family and professionals, that she requires a familiar and warm person to tend to her day-to-day caring needs.  However, federal law prohibits family members, including spouses, to serve in this para-professional capacity.
