Hudson SchultZE started this petition to Matt Miller and the Lakota School Board

The Bengals have not been to the super bowl since 1989. Giving students the Monday after the super bowl off would allow them to celebrate the Bengals accomplishment. With a calamity day, Students would not have to stress about coming to school the next day. We have only had 2.5 calamity days used this year, leaving us more to use. A survey conducted in 2020 showed that 17.5 million Americans planned to miss work the day after the Super Bowl. Multiple other public school districts including CPS, Indian Hill, Kings, Loveland, and Sycamore have already announced calamity days. Unfortunately, Mr. Miller had given many people the idea that school would be called off. It is only fair to Lakota students and staff to have the day off. Giving us the day off in advance would allow parents who work to accommodate for their kids being off school as well.
