lisa barry started this petition to Matt Hancock MP Secretary of State for Health and Social care and

Stop putting drugs into plastic packaging.

This issue affects everyone and if Governments and CEO'S of pharmaceutical companies will do somthing about this, we can stop more plastic pollution.

Pharmaceutical companies need to stop packaging drugs in blister packs made of plastic.  When we take any tablets they are encased in plastic and foil creating instant plastic waste.  Apparently you can recycle the plastic if you peel the foil off  I have tried this and it took me 10 minutes, who has the time to do this, this is unacceptable.

What we need to do now is to package drugs another way. How many brilliant clever people are out there, surely the people who make these drugs can think of other ways to  package these drugs.

I am fed up, I take tablets every day and am fed up with the waste this produces. Could pharmaceutical companies package drugs in  different ways for example, tins with lids, paper, cardboard or glass bottles, these would be more recyclable.
