This is outrageous, also when Whooping Cranes travel as singles they often join groups of Sandhill Cranes. It is extremely important not to shoot at any white-colored cranes since they may be Whooping Cranes. There are only 200 Whooping Cranes left according to FWC so I think it would be very difficult for a hunter not to accidentally shoot on since they travel with Sandhill cranes. Don't we give hunters already enough to shoot? People come all over to watch Sandhill cranes in FL, they are protected in FL. There mortality rates being hit by cars is already high. The fact that you are allowing them to be hunted, a bird that mates for life. A bird that is highly loved and appreciated for it's beauty and how they are dedicated parents when raising their young. What kind of people can just shoot them. Are you all starving so bad that you need to shoot such beautiful creatures and also risk the extinction of whooping cranes as well? This is pure negligence to our wildlife. This is not about population control, as you often like to use as your excuse. This is going to lead to landing them on the endangered species list. Oh and I hope you hunters enjoy your lead contaminated food! Did you ever think about that?

The cranes are a peaceful creature, there is not rational reason to be killing these beautiful, peaceful birds. If you want to shoot targets go to a gun range. Let the cranes live.
