Sidekick Group Ltd is a fast growing cleaning contractor based in London. We employ over 500 low paid workers, their pay rate is agreed with our customers in contractual conversations. Today on every contract that we manage in Central London our workers receive London Living wage, which is £11.05ph versus the National Living Wage of £9.50 many of which have achieved that increase due to our campaigning. 

Whilst our contracts ensure our workers are paid a fair days pay for a fair days work, this is not the norm. With inflation expected at 15% within the year and a cost of living crisis strangling the nation it is unacceptable that low paid workers in London do not earn a wage that allows them a decent standard of living. 

We need the government to increase the National Living Wage to the Real Living Wage level, this will impact the lives of £3.7m people and their families who currently struggle to survive financially. This petition is a direct request to the government to make the necessary change in the next Budget March 2023, if not then in a special measure passed specifically to deal with the cost of living crisis.
