Heidi Rosario started this petition to Senator Elizabeth Warren and

We are in desperate need of a crossing light at 148 Main St in Cherry Valley Mass. (Westbound lane)

Route 9 goes from Boston to Vermont and is highly dangerous at certain times of the day in the Cherry Valley section of Leicester, MA.

A school bus was already hit head on by a speeding driver with children on the bus. The driver of that bus is my mother. I'm thankful the Angel's were with them that day.

The bus stop is also in front of a Gymnastics Studio. The business parking is across the street. Every other day there is a report on the town's facebook page about witnessing an 'almost' accident. The speed limit being 35, combined with the blinding glare of the setting sun is the primary distraction; probably right next to people speeding & texting while driving.

Our people are at war with each other over this. We are frustrated & don't know where to go for help in this matter. Many people feel that they won't do anything until something happens. Many fear they won't do anything even if & when it does. I believe in the power of the people & the goodness of our State Reps.

I know that every name on this petition will be the name of those who will have saved a life. And most likely, it will be the life of a child. Please help us in our attempt for a change before its too late.

In memory & dedication of my beloved classmate Seth Martin, who my class dreadfully lost due to a car accident on route 9 in Leicester when we were only in 7th grade......                                                         I still cry when I think of you, my friend. And your spirit is what is giving me strength to create this petition!   Fly with me thru this process, or be there to hold the hand that meets you.  We love & miss you!
