Shane Gaw started this petition to U.S. House of Representatives

Irish family's immigrated to the U.S. in the 1800s only to be met by extreme bias and organized racism by the social establishment, as well as government. There are documented examples of this both written and photographed. We suffered economically as well as socially for many decades. Some Irish had to lie about there heritage in order to obtain menial jobs if they were lucky. This is a violation of civil rights and human rights. Reparations should be in order to right this wrong and suffering. As an Irish descendant and an American, the constitution as well as the law backs my position on this. Its time to right the wrong the Irish immigrants went through.
