Baby Bella became yet another victim of medical kidnapping at the hands of Boston Children's Hospital on May 2, 2014. She was just over 3 months old.
Bella had been born six weeks premature with severe reflux and underwent multiple formula trials to help her gain weight. The parents found the formula that worked best but after they moved to Alabama, they were threatened to bring Bella back to Massachusetts to prove she was well. She was examined by a Beverly hospital that determined she was fine to be released just before the MA Department of Children and Families stepped in and demanded she be taken to BCH.
Several days after being required to become a patient at BCH they cited "Failure To Thrive With No Medical Cause" as the primary allegation, and DCF used their "emergency powers" to forcefully remove Bella from her mother's arms.
Nearly a year later, the battle continues to bring Bella home. After telling the family a crucial meeting had been canceled, the department went on to hold this meeting behind closed doors and notified the family via written correspondence of their plan to clear Bella for adoption!

We, the undersigned, call for the immediate release of Baby Bella back to her family. Additionally, the Department of Children and Families should be held accountable for the perjury and unlawful acts they committed in order to obtain custody of Bella.
