Dee McKinnon started this petition to Massachusetts Senators

On November 8, 2019 my 13 year old with a documented history of mental illness was forcibly injected with 216mg of Ketamine (street name Special K, or Angel Dust) after school personnel called 911 on her. She had a Safety Plan which was not utilized nor were the EMS staff told the medications she was already on when they responded to the call.

  • We all tell our children say NO to drugs but when it is forced on him or her without parental consent it is not right.
  • As a parent, I need to know that I can trust that when I call 911 they will do NO harm to my child.
  • All studies with this drug has been done in a controlled environment in low doses. This was an uncontrolled setting and with no doctor present. Just the ambulance driver and emergency responder was there.
  • Mental illness is not a criminal offense and children should not be treated like criminals to be controlled with chemical restraints. It does more harm than good.
