student advocate started this petition to Massachusetts School of Law and

Due to covid-19 many students were unable to take the March MPRE exam and those who were able to attend took the exam in fear and risk their own well being for the sake of receiving a grade for ethics.

MSL policy of receiving an incomplete if the student does not pass the MPRE is unfair and doesn't make any sense. MSL requires its students to pay for the Legal ethics course, take multiple quizzes, write a paper, participate in class discussions, take their midterm exam, complete a group project, and take a final exam all for a grade of "I" (incomplete) on the transcript.

If the student does not deliver to the Registrar’s Office a copy of the pass notification by the end of the next semester that Legal Ethics is offered (currently, the following Spring semester), his or her grade will be changed from and “I” to an “F,” regardless of the grade the professor would have given the student for Legal Ethics. Students who receive an “F” in Legal Ethics will have to retake the course

We all must come together and sign this petition to stop this absurd policy not just for ourselves but for those who come after us.
