Gymnastics, a time-honored sport in the state of Massachusetts for over half a century, acts as an outlet for many young and energetic athletes. The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) revoked Men's Gymnastics state recognized varsity status recently. The MIAA based their decision on the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) announcement that they will no longer write national rules for high school gymnastics.

But why must new rules be written each year?

Athletes, coaches, and friends of the sport are hereby banding together and petitioning the MIAA's decision.
