Elderly family members in Nursing/Assisted Living have gone months without the direct engagement of designated loved ones/family members. Massachusetts needs to establish guidelines that once met, will allow for at least one designated family care giver to have free access to loved ones in Nursing/Assisted Living.

Designated care givers will agree to abide by CDC standards for Virus Testing, wearing Personal Protective Equipment and requisite checks for facility access following the same protocols as current facility staff and external care providers.

Additionally, family members acting as designated care givers, agree to release Nursing/Assisted Living Facilities from any liability in the event that designated care givers contract Covid-19 while attending to a loved ones care.
