There is growing number of soft plastics being found in the fish kept from Quabbin Reservoir and there are obvious impacts Soft Plastics are having on the fish that consume them. As Quabbin anglers its our responsibility to help preserve this fishery and all the wildlife that it supports for generations to come.

With the rapidly changing fishing industry, its nearly impossible to ban specific soft plastics. Whats banned today will be replaced by another problematic soft plastic tomorrow.

As such, this is a petition by Quabbin Angler fisherman to ban the use of all soft plastics when fishing the Quabbin Reservoir. Until such a time that they become biodegradable and leave no negative impacts on the fish and wild life.
