Repeal the Moratorium on Marijuana Related Businesses

The issue with this moratorium is simple, it only increases the public safety issues. By stopping the regulated industry to come in, the board of commissioners have only created a vacuum of zero legal recourse for the black market to thrive in.
I-502 did two main things:
Decriminalized adult possession of marijuana
Created adequate access points across the state for adults to purchase marijuana
The issue here is clear, by taking away the safe access points of a highly regulated taxed industry. We are left with the status quo of marijuana distribution through the black market. With a moratorium in place the black market can exist and thrive because of zero consequence of legal repercussion.
We implore you to please support the safety of our community and tell the Mason County Board of Commissioners that they should be paying attention to the real damage they are putting on the community. The moratorium is saying that it is okay to sell marijuana in an unregulated market on our streets.
I am a concerned citizen, I am worried about increased crime in my community.
