The recent decision by the Judge in Sangamon County has put D57 and other districts in a difficult position, after following covid mitigations recommended by the CDC, AAP, IDPH, CCDPH, and other health experts throughout the pandemic.  Many D57 parents and students support continuing universal masking and other mitigations until public health experts advise it is safe to modify them.  Staff and students, including those with health conditions or vulnerable family members, including those still ineligible for vaccination due to age, deserve a safe environment in which to work and learn.  

Please consider our voices and bring back mandatory masking to District 57.
