Kristen Marie started this petition to MASD School Board and Superintendent

After a year of mask orders, shut downs, social distancing, fear, anxiety, stress and confusion, our kids deserve better.

Our governor has one again overstepped his rights with a new mask mandate and we see our rights as parents, taxpayers and free citizens being challenged once again.

On both the local and federal level, the choices and decision making for the well being of children is the right of the parent. Historically, public schools have always respected this legally protected right and required parental permission in every other area of public education from field trips to sex Ed to published pictures to nurse care and medical intervention such as Tylenol for headaches. A minor child by law cannot make decisions for medical intervention by a medical device, without parental permission. A mask is, as defined by the FDA, a medical device.

Although masks are detrimental to both the mental, physical and emotional health of our children, we understand and respect the beliefs and concerns of all parents at MASD, which is why it is vital for ALL parents to be able to make the CHOICE for their own children.

This very basic and foundational, constitutionally protected right for CHOICE and medical freedom is vital to the health and happiness of our current and future generations and MUST be fought for and protected at all costs!

We are petitioning the MASD school board and Superintendent to respect parents wishes to send their kids to school either masked or unmasked and honor and respect any exemptions as allowed per the PA State Law and the current mask mandate.

Please sign the petition if you share our beliefs  and share this with other MASD parents and community members to sign who care about the freedom of CHOICE and respectfully request that MASD honor the sanctity of the parental right for decision making for their own children.

Please also join us on Tuesday September 7th to let our school board and Superintendent know that our rights as parents will not be ignored. We are the voices for our children and we will not be silenced!
