Some people who have children with disabilities aren't able to work, and need to be full time care takers. Some states offer paid care taker funds for those parents. Maryland is not one of those states, specifically for children under 18. During 2021, Maryland provided some help because of the pandemic; but unfortunately ended it last Autumn. When many parents who could've used it didn't even know it was available to begin with. 

There are a lot of parents who found help from the monthly tax credit, and are rallying for that to be an ongoing thing. I feel it's time for Maryland to also take in consideration those parents who have a child with special needs, who aren't able to work full 9 to 5 jobs.
