Not all school districts in Suffolk County NY planned for the continuing pandemic and did not budget any remote school.  Particularly with the current situation with the state allowing districts to go maskless, medically compromised children are at high risk of the Delta variant if they attend school in person.  These at risk children deserve an actual education, not a few hours a week from a tutor who also could introduce covid into their homes.  Parents of these children are not all in a position to homeschool.  New York State needs to coordinate with Suffolk County for either a BOCES run remote school program or create a system where districts with remote accept these children.
