Stephanie Macaluso started this petition to Mary Grow Superintendent of the East Irondequoit School District
A letter was sent out to parents of the East Irondequoit School district informing them that Halloween will no longer be celebrated as it is offensive to some or makes them uncomfortable. A district that prides itself on its diversity and is willing to recognize and celebrate all other cultures for example: the Muslim Faith by encouraging the high school students to purchase (at the high school) and wear Hijabs/Scarves for a week. Yet American traditions are being taken away from our children. Haven't these kids had enough taken away already? Please sign and share this petition. Everyone should be able to celebrate equally or not at all.
