To the Dufferin- Peel Catholic District School Board,

Graduating High School is a major milestone and it needs to be celebrated. The pandemic has taken away part of our junior year and our senior year, we should be able to have at least one memorable Grade 12 moment. We should be able to walk across that stage and receive our diploma. This is a long waited moment that we the  Grade 12 Class of 2021 have worked too hard to miss. When you graduate high school, you don´t just leave with a diploma, you leave with so much more like, honor roll, friendships, potential scholarships and your future. I believe that it is not only significant but it is extremely important for us as students to receive the recognition for all that we have done and gone through. I think this immensely important for everyone that wanted to walk across that stage and say ¨I did it¨ to have that feeling of I achieved this, whether it was by yourself or you had help, when you walk across that stage you can finally say ¨I did it¨. When we all walk across that stage, you can show people that because you did it anyone can do it and if it on Zoom, you can not do that. If it is on Zoom, you won´t get to say ¨I did it¨ and feel proud of yourself as you should be. You will not get to finally walk across that stage, receive your diploma and prove to everyone that you can do it. Having it on Zoom takes away the power and feeling of exactly that. So, sign the petition, get the graduation you always wanted and walk across the stage to get you diploma while feeling proud of yourself because you did it. Congratulations!!!!
