Connor Wingler started this petition to Martian University and

Doyle Hall is the Freshman dorm building at Marian University. Built in 1964, it is the oldest dorm on campus, with 136 rooms. Marian University also has 4 additional dorm buildings, along with a brand new up-to-date freshman dorm building opening next fall. Despite the other dorm buildings being neat and operational, students have to pay the same for housing despite Doyle Hall falling apart. Foremost, the bathrooms are constantly leaking between the toilets and the showers are often out of order. The laundry rooms are in bad condition due to the big puddles of water covering the floors, which makes the whole building smell old and musty. Along with pooling water, the washing and drying machines are out of order most of the time, and often break while washing clothes. Some rooms are without heat and some without air conditioning. The dorm building's water heating and cooling is unpredictable, with either ice cold water or scalding hot water coming out of both the showers or sinks due to the water heaters breaking. We respectfully request that Marian University provide a partial refund to those living in Doyle Hall this year and reduced housing costs for those living in Doyle Hall in the upcoming semesters.
