Three decades of quiet admiration by millions of fans from around the world culminate in this petition to issue a Bruce Lee U.S. Postage Stamp.

         Through his work and teachings, Bruce Lee inspired his followers to search for their sources of strength and, at the same time, acknowledge their weaknesses and find the courage to confront and overcome them. Bruce Lee was a man who, in his own process of evolution, transcended cultural barriers and continues to this day to be a heroic role model to people of all races, ages, genders, and abilities. The issuance of a Bruce Lee Commemorative Postage Stamp will honor a great American.  Not only did he usher in a new era of martial arts in America but also around the world.

     He was a sports star in his own right, but ask almost anyone, martial artist or not and they know and admire Bruce Lee. He made an enduring contribution to the whole world.

     He meets the criteria for being honored with a U.S. postage stamp. He was a natural-born American citizen, he was a fine upstanding man and he has been dead for over 5 years.
