On August 21, 2018, I lost my best friend, my love, my protector and protector of everyone under our roof - the best dog I ever had.  His name was Brando and he was just shy of 8 years old - way too young to pass. He was an extremely well-bred German Shepherd.  He was so loved, well cared for, and very healthy - until of sudden I lost him to spleen cancer.  My heart will forever remain broken over his loss.

Shortly after, a friend turned me onto an FB site called 'Spleen tumor in dogs - awareness raising group for dog owners'.  I learned that spleen tumors are happening across the board with all breeds. I began wondering why - what did they have in common.  Commercial dog food!  This is what they have in common; grain free or not.

I want to know why so many cases of spleen tumors are happening.  What is in the dog food, or in the processing of it causing spleen tumors. I am doing this petition to request The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) do a serious study with all the major dog food manufactures and deaths due to spleen cancer.  I strongly believe there is a connection.

Dog food manufactures are a multi-billion dollar industry who have a serious responsibility to its customers to not sell a carcinogenic product that causes spleen cancer. The FDA has the power and resources to study, determine this crisis, and enforce change.  Please consider signing. What happened to my beautiful boy may happen to yours one day.  Together we can possibly make a great change.
