Tell Marketplace & APM Ratings Fall on Koch Brothers Sponsored Shows

The Koch Brothers are anti-American plutocrats who spend their billions not just on politics geared solely to their self-interest, but on co-opting the media to turn the public against its own government, the one agency that can stop them, and their .01% funders in big oil, timber, and on Wall Street from using their dark money to return this country back to pre-New Deal capitalism.
The Kochs used their giving to stifle free speech at PBS and deflect the media from probing into their doings. There is no reason to believe that their giving to Marketplace, one of the top shows on America's NPR stations, is any less of an investment in controlling speech.
As a current member of the Society of Professional Journalists, a former member of the American Society of Magazine Editors, and a Huffington Post blogger of more than a decade I KNOW that money comes the way of companies in need of it that ethics and the sanctity of a free press require us to return. That APM would take this money speaks poorly of their understanding of their role in a free press, because the Kochs' faux philanthropy, giving to influence, is no great secret.
Tell Marketplace and American Public Media (APM) that one of America's last avenues for free and credible information, publicly supported radio, is not for sale at any price, and to drop them as sponsors of Marketplace. TURN OFF APM's MARKETPLACE on your radio until they send a refund check to the Koch Brothers, and pledge your smaller support to them to encourage them to keep Public Radio PUBLIC!
