Instagram is an app for people to post their content, joke, have fun, and interact with others. For far too long, certain content of Instagram has been censored and removed for reasons of “hate symbols”, and other unnecessary reasons. This petition is simply asking for pulling back of some of that censorship, simply because people deserve the freedom to post such symbols. The petition is not asking to remove all community guidelines on Instagram, (such as removing content with real life gore) it is asking for the users, and possible newcomers to jokingly, or possibly whatever they value decide their posts on Instagram. As well, the signers do not support the movements that these symbols represent, but they do support the freedom to express these symbols on Instagram.
