Replace Robert E. Lee's statue in the U.S. Capitol

In 1909 the US government asked every state to send two statues of people that represented their state. Please note that in 1909 the president was Woodrow Wilson and Jim Crow laws were still in effect. The Commonwealth of Virginia chose two people, George Washington, the father of our country, and Robert E. Lee, the commander of the Confederate armies during the Civil War. The halls of Congress are the heart of Democracy in our country, they represent our values and our principles, and in 2017 we still have a statue of a Confederate general there, representing Virginia? I would like to ask the senators of Virginia, Senator Warner and Senator Kaine to recall the statue of Robert E. Lee and replace it.
