Research shows that the teenage brain doesn't start producing the sleep hormone until approximately 10:45pm and doesn't stop producing this hormone till around 8:00am. With teenagers needing at least 9 hours sleep and most kids getting up at around 7:00am for the commute to school our first school bells are going too early.
