J Brown started this petition to Senator Mark R. Warner and

The Pompeo Act - A law should be passed to hold graduates of the United States service academies accountable for Contempt or Obstruction of Congress by stripping them of their degree and all the rights or privileges bestowed upon them by the service academy they attended.

Why?   We the people, the taxpayers, pay to educate these men and women to serve our county and to protect our Constitution. The value of the free education these men and women receive is near $500,000.

These men and women owe it to the American people, as payment for their education, to defend our Constitution for life - and to live by the Code of Honor of their respective service academy. Anything short of this should result in the loss of their degree - much like a lawyer being stripped of their license to practice law.

The bottom line - if We, the People, pay for attendance and education at one of OUR US service academies, the recipient of that great privilege must be held accountable. This is not asking for them to be held to a HIGHER standard, because they have already taken an oath to uphold our constitution. This petition simply asks that these men and women be held accountable and suffer great loss when they betray our Constitution by contempt or obstruction of Congress.
