Mark Paterson CEO of ASQA Must resign immediately

0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!

Further to the current petition regarding ASQA' s poorly managed operations, RTO owners, managers, trainers, education agents and other industry stakeholders have reached a consensus that the CEO of ASQA and Chief commisioner should resign and hand power back back to the individual state regulators such as TAC, VRQA and others. Every member has agreed that the previous regulator was managed much more efficiently and effectively, they worked closely with providers and everyone understood the regulations and requirements.

ASQA has not brought any value to the VET industry and in fact has had the opposite effect with many good quality RTOs having experienced reputations damage, whilst others have had their registration suspended or cancelled for minor violations and are now facing AAT. Our industry is in chaos and ASQA is the main contributor to this situation.

Although Mark Paterson was on the board of the Australian National Training Association (ANTA) from 1998-2002 (abolished in 2005), he has no hands-on experience of having worked in either an RTO or TAFE. Since 2002, the entire VET industry has undergone myriad changes meaning that Mr Patersons's knowledge and experience is not relevant and this is clearly reflected in how ASQA operations are currently being managed, to the detriment of our whole industry.

In his previous role Mark Paterson was sacked.
