The Gender Reassignment Board (GRB for short, in West Aus.) is something that harms Trans Rights.

The GRB is invalidating to non-binary people as they don’t have the option of ‘X-gender’, and as the GRB invalidates non-binary people, it is racist, as non-binary people exist(ed), even in ancient cultures, for example the Fa’afafine or Māhū of Pacific Cultures.

They also require the person who’s transitioning to have sexual reassignment surgery, which is invalidating to people who don’t want or can’t afford sexual reassignment surgery. They determine if a person who’s actually transitioning is “actually trans” or not. If they deny the person who’s transitioning, the person will have to resubmit everything. 

If this petition is signed by enough accounts, then the Labor Party will have to abolish the GRB. I am non-binary myself, and the GRB is invalidating to me.

The GRB is “meant to help with transitioning”, but it hurts more than it helps. Start being modern, government, and start recognising actual trans people.
